This was posted in the last hour hope it clears somethings up for u all
There has been a lot of discussion about what fans saw in the pre-beta E3 demo relating to medics & the speed of several actions. I wanted to clarify a few things for the community.
First, there will not be healthpacks in GR2. Period. The player and teammates can give medical attention to non-lethal wounds, to get an incapacitated teammate mobile. The Ghosts, just like real Special Forces soldiers, are trained in providing combat medical attention. Medic does not fully "revive" a teammate. It helps a teammate that has been incapacitated (from a non-lethal wound) into a wounded state, where their performance suffers appropriately. If you do not provide a medic to an incapacitated teammate, you will lose them from the mission.
Second, much of the controversy over the demo is the speed in which fans saw the medic and other features happen. This applies to the speed of reloading the MAAWS, medic, switching weapons, etc. We are using a completely new animation system in GR2, and some of the animations simply were not in the game by the time the pre-beta E3 demo was made. Because the speed of the action is based off of the animation time, this resulted in "super fast" actions, like medic and changing weapons for the E3 version of the game. Once these animations are placed in the game, the speed of these actions will change drastically. Along with this, the "wounded" animations were not in the pre-beta E3 demo, which is why the wounded teammate appeared "healthy" again.
Please keep this in mind when discussing the features.
