Ok everyone i already know what the outcome of this will be, but if we get a big enough response of people answering the poll i will post a link to it on the UBI forums so that the devs can see the results. It seems that some are of the opinion that us young** console gamers are happy with 3rd person and i feel we need to clarify this isnt the case.
please post ur gamertag below when u vote to help us demostrate the poll is genuine. Thank You ;D

this will make many of us happy, 'By default, the game is played in an over-the-shoulder view and you'll be able to aim down the barrel for long-range shots. You have the option to switch to a first-person view (and even enforce it in multiplayer)' To read the whole article follow this link xbox.ign.com/articles/514/514062p1.html?fromint=1

Thinking logically about it, my god iv'e got too much time on my hands, if they put both views in the game then surely it will reach a bigger audience, as long as they do give us the option to choose . There must be people out there who wont play because of the reticule only thingy, but maybe will give it a try if its R6ish or Splinter Cellish, which can only be a good thing. Only thing I want though is NO flamin glitches but that can be another subject. ;D

I gotta say this, (proberly regret it in the future) but i dont like the way its shaping up. looks like somebodys got a R63 game and had a little fun with some crayons.
I just watched that 11min video and i did not see one soldier laying face down in the dirt.
correct me if i'm wrong....but doesn't an army (that doesn't want to be seen) spend a lot of time "lying on the job" call me lazy but...... ah ...... I can't be bothered anymore.... i'm going for a lye down..... i guess i won't be doing much of that in GR 2 - funny that..... i did none in R63, none in Wolfenstien, none in Splinter cell.....and i don't play these anymore yet i still play GR & GRIT on a regular basis...hmmm.
so...... i'm now thinking that the whole control set up is going to change.... and with no lying down.... lets just say.... no more sniping without being seen. no more "should i walk out" or "could i get sniped if i run accross" thoughts running through my head as i play.... no ...... it'll proberly be..."i hope that 12yr old kids hand eye co-orderdination isn't as quick as mine...
all rise for the reimergance of the arcade shooter
and may you all bow your heads for a minutes silence for the death of the most realistic FPS game i have ever experaniced.
(by the way..... the map looks very impresive... it's not all bad)
there ....... thats my little rant outta the way

opps....... went a bit off track there.....
as to view...... if it's going to play like rainbow six..... it might aswell look like it.
if a 3rd person view is to be used... will that mean that you can "climb" over things....up ladders over fences... (ie:- Splinter Cell) if so....... that might reflect my vote.... cause i'm sure that wouldn't be able to happen in a 1st view
or could it?
with what i've seen..... and what i've read (on other forums) the big developers with "spin you all sorts of shit" to ensure that the game doesn't recieve any bad publisity before it's release. how many games have you discussed online whilst playing a game
word of mouth on xbox live is becoming a more powerfull tool than anyother advertising on any billboard. and along with all these forums that are being set up everywhere....... i think you can see why they don't want to highlight any negitive points within a game under development.
i'm going to take what bullettooth has said about "we've nothing to worry about" with a pinch of salt.
you never know.....he proberly has shares in ubisoft.

For the moment we need to bear a few things in mind:
The demo is designed to show off as many new features as possible and therefore wont be accurate to multiplayer gameplay in the way we will us the game. It also wont be played in stealth mode because people dont tend to sit through a stealthy demo so again the gameplay tends to be speeded up to get the whole mission in the demo.
the demo is never as the finished game will be so theres plenyt of hope yet. ;D
That said it has been stated that we get are 1st person view and......it will be a forced view in multiplayer ;D
many have posted on the forums (including me) to say that the medics in gamne should also have a shut off option in game the same as other options so hopefully that will be taken on board if it hadnt already
